TESTIMONY

5th Sundays are always Testimony Sundays at Greater Redeemer Baptist Church in Drama, La, led by the peacemaker personality, but powerful preaching Rev. Johnny Jenkins. The church is anchored by Sis. Ida; the bible toting, scripture quoting mother of the church. Normally, your “regulars” give an account of all their recent accomplishments, but things are shaken up when the monotony and routine of everything is challenged. As the day goes on, facades give way to the factual, hurt gives way to healing, and fear surrenders to faith and forgiveness. Driven by a score of some of the most powerful gospel songs past and present, “Testimony” is a soul stirring look…….at ourselves.
